From Fashion Star, Daniel Musto

March 18, 2012 – Joining us live in the Global Voice studio in Hollywood is stylist Daniel Musto, who can currently be seen on the hit show Fashion Star. Featuring host and executive producer Elle Macpherson along with celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos, Fashion Star will give 14 unknown designers the chance to win a multi-million dollar prize to launch their collections in three of America’s largest retailers: Macy’s, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Currently the Wardrobe Stylist and Costume Designer for NBC’s Fashion Star, Daniel Musto has been climbing his way up the fashion industry ladder since his dreams brought him from rolling hills of the east coast to the endless beaches of Los Angeles. Daniel got his start as a styling assistant in Hollywood, which brought him the great honor of studying beneath some of the industry’s most influential stylists.

Under the wing of David Thomas, he had the opportunity to work among the likes of Jack Nicholson, Spice Girls, Kevin Bacon, and Eva Longoria. While assisting stylist, Emma Trask, Daniel moved into the world of television with a new project and title, Assistant Costume Designer for The CW’s Melrose Place. Since then, he has had the privilege of working with numerous major networks, publications, and celebrities on the east and west coasts. His work has been seen on stars including Paula Abdul, Ashlee Simpson, Paris Hilton, Kendra Wilkinson, JC Chasez, and more. It has also graced the stages of American Idol and America’s Best Dance Crew, as well as the pages of People and Rollingstone magazines.

Daniel’s greatest reward comes from enhancing the look of his clients while bringing out their untapped beauty. Now regarded as one of Hollywood’s leading wardrobe stylists, designers, and lifestyle coaches, Daniel believes that comfort and functionality are the most important qualities when getting dressed. “Looking great can be satisfying, but feeling great forms a person’s character,” says Musto. “I guarantee that my clients feel confident, even before they see their transition in the mirror. There is nothing sexier than confidence.”
